This sweet potato makes a great post workout meal when taken together with your preferred protein source or even a pre workout snack if you eat at least one hour before training.

I know many bodybuilders prefer to take liquid carbs post gym but I’m usually so hungry after a heavy session that I need to eat my carbs.

I usually take my post workout protein as a whey, getting that down me immediately after a session then taking my time gorging on my carb food!

Depending on the size of your potatoes, you should get around a whopping 30g carbs out of this delicious snack.

Ingredients

  • 2 medium (5oz) sweet potatoes
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ¼ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon thyme
  • ¼ teaspoon rosemary
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • Pinch of cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil

Method

Step 1

Preheat oven to 375oF. In a small bowl, stir together paprika, onion powder, thyme, rosemary, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper.

Step 4
